Study on the dispersion of radon (222Rn) in geological objects in Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province, Northern Vietnam

The Bat Xat district in the Lao Cai province of Vietnam has enormous potential for resources copper and rare earth minerals. In fact, exploration exploitation activities these minerals have brought about positive economic benefits to this area recent years. However, activity also brings negative impacts on environment surrounding population. mineral deposits contain a significant content radioactive substances like uranium thorium that radiate radon (222Rn) thoron (220Rn). Therefore, aim study is investigate distribution as function depth geological objects areas. Results showed concentration an exponential with soil R2 ranging from 0.87 0.97. It was found sand higher than clay soils mixed gravels. shown density moisture inversely proportional diffusion length soil.
